WHY ITS IMPORTANT HOW TO PLAY RUGBY

WHATS IMPORTANT IN RUGBY.

Normally the first thing that comes to rugby is tackling, many people don't know how to tackle the opponent because the coaches normally don't teach it, many people get badly injuries due to tackling wrong.

1. When tackling someone don't hesitate, keep clam.

2. As the opponent is engaging bend down and low , aim for the ankles/hip area

3. When tackling put your head on the outside of the body so your neck wont get injured

MY REASON WHY I DECIDED TO TELL PEOPLE HOW TO PLAY RUGBY

I am a rugby player in Mullingar rugby club and I have seen many fatal injuries like head injuries, neck etc. So I want to tell people how to play rugby.

I am 16 and I play on wing in rugby and I have never got any very bad injuries because I was learnt to tackle properly.

EQUIPMENT

Rugby is a very intense sport and its very physical so you will need some protection at for he/she will need.

1.mouth guard- This is to protect your teeth if you got a bang they will protect you also its a rule to wear one, so if not wearing one for training or a match you are not allowed to participate.

2.Scrum cap- If your scared that your child will get a bang in the head you can buy him/her a scrum cap to protect his/her head.

3.Shoulder pads- Normally starting rugby everyone is scared that they will hurt there shoulders tackling other people etc.

4.Buy proper boots so that your child wont slip or break an ankle.
